A deep-tech company pioneering AI, robotics, and sustainable agricultural solutions
KALP YANTRA AI & TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD. is a deep-tech startup headquartered in Gujarat, India. We are dedicated to transforming industries through cutting-edge artificial intelligence, robotics, and sustainable technology solutions.
Our flagship product, Edenix, puts precision agriculture technology into the hands of students — in schools, ITIs, polytechnics and universities across India, not just industry.
Our technology spans AI & Cognitive Computing, Multilingual Technologies, AgriTech & Precision Agriculture, Robotics & Automation, Green Technology, and Cloud Computing — developed as integrated capabilities powering our core products.
To put a real precision-agriculture machine inside Indian school, ITI, polytechnic and university labs — at a price an institution can actually approve, in a form a teacher can actually run, with a curriculum that turns it into four subjects rather than a showpiece.
An India where students do not just read about robotics, AI and precision agriculture — they run a machine that does all three, in their own lab, and measure what happens. We want Edenix in the hands of the next generation of engineers and agronomists while they are still learning.
Kalp Yantra builds one thing: Edenix — a precision farming machine for Indian institutional labs that teaches robotics, AI, agricultural science and data handling on a single bed. A ruggedised field version is in development.
The story and conviction behind KALP YANTRA
Creator of the Edenix Autonomous Farming System
When the pandemic forced the world indoors, I spent nearly two years on my family's farm in Gujarat. Inspired by India's growing natural farming movement, I set out to grow crops without synthetic chemicals. The conviction was strong. The reality was harder.
Precision growing demands relentless, precisely timed work. Sowing, watering and weeding all have to happen on schedule — but after heavy monsoon rains, waterlogged soil makes it impossible to step into the field for days, and the weeds get an unchecked head start. Without pesticides, catching insects and disease early is critical, and spotting them reliably takes time, labour and diagnostic tools most growers do not have. I watched people around me abandon organic methods and resort to blind pesticide spraying — not out of choice, but out of desperation to save their yields.
The pattern was clear: organic farming doesn't fail because of bad intent. It fails because human labor alone cannot meet its demands at the speed and precision required. For natural farming to succeed at scale in India, it needs technology — not as a luxury, but as essential infrastructure.
That insight became Kalp Yantra. I chose to build on FarmBot Genesis — the world's leading open-source precision agriculture platform — because its hardware design and software ecosystem are proven across 500+ institutions globally. Starting from that mature foundation, I adapted and engineered Edenix for Indian institutions: voice control in English, Hindi and Gujarati, fully offline operation on a campus network, locally manufactured components, a curriculum mapped to NEP 2020, and on-site installation and support in Hindi and Gujarati.
The goal is simple: make chemical-free farming practical, not just aspirational.
Built on proven global infrastructure, adapted for India
Edenix is built on FarmBot Genesis, a 100% open-source precision agriculture platform released under MIT and CC0 licenses. FarmBot's hardware designs, software and documentation are freely available. The project was started in 2011 by Rory Aronson and has been developed in the open ever since.
